Axis Tower is a grade A office space standing at 18 floors tall with over 7000 square metres of office/commercial space and with an estimated project cost of just over £17 million! Axis is set to be one of Manchester's tallest developments of its kind.
Situated on Albion Street just behind Beetham Tower and Manchester Central (formerly G-Mex), this extraordinary development will feature floor to ceiling glass windows offering 360 views of the city, the main attraction will be a huge 51 metre by 15 metre LCD Screen on the side of the tower advertising a variety of campaigns and commercials for the local council and probably a whole bunch of other advertisers quick enough to snap up a space!
Axis will also set another record, it will claim to be the tallest single core and escape stair office block in the country, something of a rarity in today's world obsessed with health and safety driven buildings with multiple cores.
Main contractor, Russells Construction, commenced work on site early 2008 and a practical completion date early 2010 is anticipated.
